1906 And here we are at the beginning of another year. How these years come and go! My visit to the States has, I conceive, done much to make the past year seem very brief. I seem to have spent the entire year on the run without any rest or interuption. I hope however this is not true of its results but that some definate and abiding fruit remains to His glory. My travels, were they in one straight line, would have taken me around the world. It costs both time and money to thus travel, and I only hope it has resulted in some real good. The foreign year as

Description | J.N. Anderson's 1906 to 1907 diary is the only surviving journal from his years as the first commissioned Seventh-day Adventist missionary to China. This diary documents his mission work and travels from January 1906 to August 1907. Highlights include detailed descriptions of Anderson's extensive travel in southern China and his attendance of the China Centenary Mission Conference in Shangai in the spring of 1907. It also includes record of his mother's death, commentary about other missionaries in China, and detailed notes about the early orgnization of the Adventist church in China. The diary measures 5" x 7" and includes 223 pages. The cover is missing and the pages are tattered. |
